{"id":335,"date":"2006-09-13T20:59:54","date_gmt":"2006-09-13T10:59:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lostbiro.com\/blog\/?p=335"},"modified":"2006-09-13T22:39:00","modified_gmt":"2006-09-13T12:39:00","slug":"frankies-reel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/lostbiro.com\/blog\/?p=335","title":{"rendered":"Frankie&#8217;s Reel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the side effects of any festival is that I come home with a pocketbook (moleskine of course) filled with names of tunes that people have played in sessions &#8211; and these become my to-do list for the next several weeks, as I struggle to learn a few of the more memorable ones.<\/p>\n<p>One such tune is Frankies Reel, or Frank&#8217;s Reel, which I heard played really well by Tony Pyrzakowski of <a title=\"Mothers of Intention\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/mothersofintention.com.au\/aboutus.html\">Mothers of Intention<\/a>. It started when my ears cringed at what what seemed to be the start of some hillbilly type tune &#8211; then the second part arrived, with all those syncopations and I was hooked. It&#8217;s a great tune, written by John McCusker.
