Now, one of the great design features of the Moleskine is the elastic strap which keeps the book closed &#8211; preventing all those wonderful ideas from falling out!<\/p>\n<p>As I took the Moleskine to the counter, <a title=\"Sharon Bogogn's blog\" href=\"http:\/\/inaminuteago.com\/blog\/index.php\">Sharon<\/a> noticed a stand of bookmarks and saw at once the key thing that set these bookmarks apart from any other &#8211; yes, an elastic strap which would hold the book closed (and the bookmark in place) &#8211; just like a Moleskine \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image238\" alt=\"bookmark\" src=\"http:\/\/lostbiro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/05\/bookmark.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And here it is in use with the book I am currently reading<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image239\" alt=\"bookmark\" src=\"http:\/\/lostbiro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/05\/bookmark2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And yes that is my latest pen &#8211; <a title=\"Visconti Van Gogh fountain pens\" href=\"javascript:createWindow('\/cgi-bin\/showpic.cgi?pic=fullsize2.jpg&#038;title=%20Van%20Gogh%20Pens&#038;path=products\/visconti\/_pens\/vangogh','enlarge','height=535,width=720,scrollbars,resizable')\">the <strong><em>Visconti <\/em><\/strong>&#8216;Van Gogh&#8217; fountain pen<\/a> &#8211; now with a fine nib &#8211; which works perfectly on moleskine paper.<\/p>\n<p>And the moleskine, the pen and the bookmark were Sharon&#8217;s gifts to me\u00a0 &#8211; now that&#8217;s special \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Cheers<br \/>\nJerry<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As I prepare to head off on another adventure, the first stop is of course, to Pepe&#8217;s Paperie for a new Moleskine notebook &#8211; the squared paper being my preference.
